Skytone Announces Android Netbook/Tablet

We were waiting for gadgets like this one to appear. The netbook/tablet in the picture is made by Skytone and it runs on an Android-based OS. Inside there’s a 533MHz ARM processor, a 7-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen, 128MB of RAM, 1GB of storage, an SD slot card for further storage and even 3G connectivity. The netbook will be called the Alpha-680 and it could cost less than $100 when it gets released. Wouldn’t you rather pay a little more for a bump in specs? No matter if the Alpha-680 will be successful or not we’ll be waiting for more Android-based netbooks to appear in the near future.
I’m always happy to see more Android gadgetry out there. At $100 that’ would be a song too! Of course like you said, I might bump up the specs a bit in exchange for a beefier netbook, but I’d imagine they’ll give us that option when it is released.
